📱 Permissions Usage

The app requests permissions only to provide core functionality:

Camera Scan QR codes and barcodes
Storage / Media Images Scan QR from gallery & export history
Contacts Save scanned contact (vCard)
Calendar Add scanned calendar events
SMS Send SMS from scanned QR
Phone Dial numbers from scanned QR
Location Required by Android for WiFi QR connection
Vibration Haptic feedback on scan

All permissions are optional and requested only when needed.

🔐 Data Storage & Security

  • All scan history is stored locally using Room (SQLite)
  • No cloud sync
  • No external server storage
  • No third-party analytics or ads SDKs
  • You can delete history anytime from app settings

🌐 Internet Usage

The app does not require internet to function.

Internet may be used only when:

  • Opening scanned URLs
  • Making UPI payments via external apps
  • Joining meetings or opening third-party apps

👶 Children's Privacy

Pro QR & Barcode Scanner does not target children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal data from children.

UPI payments, calls, emails, SMS, and meeting joins are handled by third-party apps.

5. Limitation of Liability

SoftTech Service is not liable for:
