Magic Fluids: Live Wallpaper

Official Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 27, 2026
100% On-Device Simulation
No Account or Server Storage

1. Executive Summary & Scope

This policy explains what the Magic Fluids live wallpaper app ("the app") does with information on your device. The app is published by SoftTech Service ("we", "us", or "our").

In short: The app has no user accounts, we do not run our own cloud servers, and your photos, sounds, and motion movements never leave your device. Advertising is shown solely through Google AdMob, which is detailed in Section 2.

1. Information Processed Only on Your Device

The following table discloses every category of data processed by Magic Fluids, why it is accessed, and whether it ever leaves your device:

What Data Why Needed Leaves Your Device?
Photos you choose To take colours from a photo, or to show a photo through the fluid ("photo fluid"). A resized copy of a photo you pick for photo fluid is stored in the app's private storage. No
Deleted automatically when you uninstall the app or clear cache.
Audio playing on your phone
(Music mode, off by default)
If you switch on music mode, the app reads the beat of the audio currently playing so the fluid can move with it. Android requires the microphone permission for this. No
Audio is analysed in real time in volatile memory and immediately discarded. Nothing is recorded or stored, and analysis only runs while the wallpaper is visible.
Motion sensors
(Gyroscope & Accelerometer)
To calculate fluid gravity vectors and make the liquid slosh when you tilt your phone. No
Processed on-device for GPU vertex calculations only.
Battery level & charging state For the charging animation (fluid rising with charge level) and automated battery-saving frame-rate adjustments. No
Read via local Android BatteryManager broadcasts.
Text you type & settings
("Your name in fluid")
To remember your custom text, fluid presets, color sliders, and visual preferences. No
Stored locally in private app SharedPreferences.
Clips and images you create Saved directly to your local photo gallery or handed to the third-party app you select only when you tap Save or Share. Only if shared
Only transmitted if you choose to share them yourself via the Android share sheet.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Magic Fluids is free to download and supported by advertisements shown through Google AdMob.

To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as your advertising ID, IP address, device model, operating system version, app interactions, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This information is collected by Google, not by SoftTech Service, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

EEA / UK / Switzerland User Consent:

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app presents a Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog before personalized ads are displayed. You can review or modify your consent choices at any time inside the app by visiting Settings > Ads Privacy Options. You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your phone's Android Settings > Google > Ads.

3. Google Play Services

  • Install Referrer: On first launch the app asks Google Play which link it was installed from, so that a shared wallpaper link automatically opens that exact fluid style. Only the link's wallpaper name or visual settings payload are evaluated; nothing is transmitted to our servers.
  • In-App Updates: The app queries Google Play Services to check whether a newer, optimized version of the app is available for your device.

4. Sharing Links

When you share a wallpaper with friends or social media, the generated sharing link contains only the wallpaper's preset name or encoded visual physics parameters (colors, viscosity, swirl speed). It contains no personal information, no device identifiers, and no user images.

5. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has inadvertently provided data through third-party ad networks, please contact us immediately to address the concern.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Everything the app stores (visual preferences, custom fluid configurations, saved presets, and chosen photo textures) lives strictly in the app's sandboxed private storage on your device.

Clearing the app's storage via Android Settings > Apps > Magic Fluids > Storage > Clear Data or uninstalling the app permanently deletes all saved data. SoftTech Service holds no cloud copy.

7. Security

Because your data stays entirely on your physical hardware, it is safeguarded by Android's application sandboxing and your device's built-in security features. Communications with Google Play Services and Google AdMob strictly utilize industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) encrypted protocols.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app enhancements or evolving regulatory guidelines. If this policy changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.

Android Device Permissions Explained

Magic Fluids follows Android best practices by adhering to the principle of least privilege. Permissions are requested only when required for specific optional features.

Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)
Optional • Off by Default

Purpose: Required exclusively for the optional "Music Mode", enabling fluid color waves to pulse in synchrony with music playing on your phone.

Privacy Safeguard: The audio signal is processed through an in-memory Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm solely for frequency and beat detection. Audio is never recorded, never written to disk, and never transmitted over any network. Analysis terminates immediately when the live wallpaper is hidden.

Photos & Media Access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES)
Optional • User Initiated

Purpose: Allows you to pick a picture to extract color palettes or display your photo behind the fluid ("Photo Fluid").

Privacy Safeguard: Uses Android's modern photo picker where you grant access exclusively to the specific image you select. The image is processed locally and never uploaded to any remote server.

Motion Sensors (ACCELEROMETER / GYROSCOPE)
Standard Sensor Access

Purpose: Allows the real-time fluid simulation to respond to physical device tilting and orientation changes, making the liquid slosh naturally.

Privacy Safeguard: Motion vectors are fed directly into the GPU shader math and are not recorded or logged.

Battery Status Broadcasts
Standard Broadcast

Purpose: Enables the charging fluid animation and activates battery-saver frame throttling when your phone's battery is critically low.

Live Wallpaper Service (BIND_WALLPAPER)
Core Framework Service

Purpose: Android standard framework permission allowing Magic Fluids to render its real-time graphics on your system Home screen and Lock screen.

Terms and Conditions of Use

By downloading, installing, or using Magic Fluids: Live Wallpaper ("the application"), you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

1. License Grant

SoftTech Service grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the application strictly for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

The visual simulation algorithms, graphics shaders, preset configurations, user interface design, logos, trademarks, and source code of Magic Fluids are the intellectual property of SoftTech Service and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

3. User Created Media & Exports

You retain ownership of any still images or 10-second video clips exported through the app using your personal artistic parameters. You are free to share these exports on social networks or set them as personal static wallpapers.

4. Hardware Compatibility & Battery Notice

Magic Fluids utilizes intensive real-time GPU shaders to simulate realistic fluid dynamics. While the app is carefully optimized with adaptive frame rates and battery savers, graphical performance may vary depending on device GPU capability, thermal throttling, and display refresh rate. Live wallpaper functionality requires native Android Wallpaper Service support.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. SoftTech Service does not warrant that the application will be error-free or uninterrupted.
